Beruf ... Means occupation so accounant is what he considers himself to be?!
What was there to account for as an official at this time and this area if you where granted a special green striped pass?
For me this is a very interesting period in history that can be awakened!

Yes he received a special Auswiess at this very historic time! It actually states that he is a Pole by birth as can be read.If you look at the cross translations that are written in the pass he has two different identities one Polish for the time and one Germanic! this is a very interesting document and with more research i am sure you could get a whole lot more of info on this person! but be warned this mix of info could make for some very gruesome reading

I meant a Germanised name if you look where his name is on the left and then look over to the right in the corosponding section you can see that the names have been spelt differently.

Obviously, but simply because it is spelled in Russian/Cyrillic alphabet on the right page, like the rest of all the entries.
There is nothing "Germanized" about Mershwinskyj; a Germanized spelling would be Merschwinski or Merschwinsky and even that would just be a spelling variation of what would still be the same Slavic name.
