    Hello

here's pictures of some of my collection of Nazi era film programmes. Nazis valued film as a propaganda instrument of enormous power and used it to glorify the military, and offer escapism to the people. Although not particularly rare I love these programmes as they give an indicatation of how the Nazi propaganda machine swept the ordinary people along in this wave of militarism and excessive national pride:

    Verrater! 1936
    Drie Unteroffiziere 1939
    Das Gewehr Uber 1939
    Sieg im Weften 1941
    Stukas! 1941
    Spahtrupp Hallgarten 1941
    Kampfgeschwader Lutzow 1941
    U-Boote Westwarts 1941

Thanks for the kind comments. I have a rather poor copy of Kampfgeschwader Lutzow. No sub-titles and my German is fairly non existant (apart from "Achtung Spitfire!" ) but it has nice aerial photography with great shots of the Heinkel He 111 and I think Messerschmitt Bf.109 "Dora". It uses some real footage from the invasion of Poland, showing the Polish planes burning on airfields.

These look really great. The German film industry was a world leader in it's day.

    Cheers, Ade.

I'm sure these films would be available somewhere on the web. Looks like a very good collection, and very specialised

Very very cool - and definitely not something that you see everyday!

Thanks for all the kind comments and glad you enjoyed the programmes. My main area of interest continues to be documents of that era. I have some original newspapers from the Channel Islands whilst under occupation, published in the few weeks after D-Day and give an interesting view of the success of the landings. If the Germans are to be believed, the Allies are getting kicked back into the English Channel! I inherited these from my mother-in-law who was a child on Jersey during the period of occupation. I'll post these when I get a moment as they are quite interesting.
