Huddyhuddy: It looks to me like the rubber stamp reads, "In Cburg Registrierschein ehaltei." So, "In Cburg registration document ehalti" I have no idea what Cburg represents, and ehalti--or whatever it actually is--is not a German word. If the last two words are "Registrierschein erhalten" then that part of the stamp says that the registration document was obtained in Cburg. If that is correct, then it means that the rubber stamp was cut omitting the "r" and "n" in erhalten. Maybe HPL800 will come along and explain it. Dwight

"In Cburg Registrierschein erhalten" translates to "Registration document received in Cburg"..."Cburg" being the mystery locality; My first guess is Coburg...

Coburg, the city...I see this is a pass for a government ministry official stationed in Bukarest, Romania...Interesting find, congratulations!

The spelling is different though for the last word, and the Cburg is puzzling indeed...

Could also stand for "Charlottenburg", which is a Berlin suburb and home to many administrative offices...

like drmessimer, i would have expected the word "erhalten" at the end of that phrase. however, that is not what is printed there. i even begin to wonder if a stamp was made with a spelling error?? it would not be a first, as ridiculous as it sounds.
