Anyone?
ah, this thread sunk like it was attacked by a flock of U-boats
I'll probably get them, they're cheap...
Fabe, these stand a far better chance of being old than most ink stamps out there. I have owned several period ink stamps over the years, some of which resembled the examples shown below. Period stamps came in many various forms - but these could well be from pre-war, note the date 19--
I would not buy them as part of a Third Reich related collection - but not because I feel they are modern reproductions, more due to the fact that they are quite possibly earlier.
Rgds,
Carl
p.s. "Empfang" = reception
Thanks for the info! Do you happend to know, which year (about) Germany started to use this font on modern books, paperwork, etc.?
Cheers,
Fabe
Both are stamps denoting receipt of payment...However, the denomination isn't RM-Reichsmarks, nor is it DM-Deutschmarks...it is in M-Marks, telling me that this is likely East German...
cheers, Glenn

This type of font is known as Fraktur (i think) and has been used from the 15/16th century!....
