Stalag 348 was a PoW camp situated in the Ukraine. According to the listing I have it was situated near Dnjepropetrowsk and then it was located near Gaisson. Obviously that would be after the Barbarossa invasion. The date in the WP of April 1941 might indicate the date that they were set up to run a PoW camp in the forthcoming invasion of the Soviet Union.
Scroll down at the link for the 4 locations for the Stalag 348 Camps...
Lexikon der Wehrmacht - Stammlager
For the second one, Landesschützen-Bataillon 783 has a fairly decent write-up in Lexikon (decent for a Landesschützen-Bataillon anyway) but basically it was also used in the Soviet Union to guard PoW camps with 2.Kompanie used to kill Jews in 1941 before it went to Italy in 1943.

Grt information, thank you!!!
