    Hi, mates !

    Years ago I got this document as a part of a legacy.

    Does anybody of you have further informations concerning this certificate ?

    Generalleutnant Valentin Feuerstein was Commander of the 2nd Mountain-Division from April 1938 till March 1941, (Knight´s Cross 12th of August 1944).

    this is one impressive looking document, it's, in one word, awesome.

    It is indeed very nice. I believe it was awarded to the soldiers of Gruppe Feurstein who participated in a forced march from Fauske towards Narvik to rescue Dietl's troops in the battle of Narvik in 1940.
    On May 4th 1940 General Feuerstein’s 2nd Gebirgsjäger Division started marching 350 miles North from Trondheim to relieve Dietl’s 139th Gebirgsjäger Regiment isolated in Narvik, fighting Allied troops at various points along the way.

    I hadn't seen one of these documents before and now I have seen 2 in the space of a month!

    Looks like it is printed by: Emil Moestue a.s - Oslo
    Emil Moestue a.s still exists and still is a Norwegian "printing" business....

    The drawing looks like it symbolizes when German soldiers retook Narvik from the English, French and Norwegian soldiers that took Narvik...

    Here's a third "Gruppe Feurstein" document !!!

    Oberjager Mathias BRAMSTEIDL was a master blacksmith (Schmiedmeister) from Austria. Additional photos are his award "Ehrenkreuz fur Frontkampfer" - from WW1 and the "Kreigsverdienstkreus II Klass mit Schwerten"
