My grandfather was in the 101st airborne in ww2. Paratrooper. Purple heart. He brought home this diary along with a pistol, flashlight, a pin and arm band. We have not been able to find anyone to translate it. I would appreciate any help with that. I have a lot more pictures. I can upload the entire diary if anyone can help translate. Thanks in advance...

Translating a document that isn't flat and is turned sideways is a bit of a challenge. The home town of this soldier is Oppeln, a small community in the south west of Polen. I could probably translate more, but my head got a kink in it after a couple of tries sideways, lol.

spacemonkey333 : Eric2575 has given good advice and so has CBH. I cannot add anything to that except to say that it appears to be a pocket-calendar date-book rather than a diary. one of the entries is a phone number under Notizen. Good luck in your quest. Dwight
