Having been away on holiday for almost three weeks, I have missed this thread. Reading through the posts, and paying particular attention to the latter part of this thread, I am saddened by forum member Woske's decision to not offer his advice and opinions on the authenticity of signatures in the future. If member Woske stands by this decision, which I really hope he does not, then we as a community will have lost one of the most knowledgable and experienced members around. That would be very sad, due to the nature of the path leading to his decision. Sometimes, these threads get out of hand and out of context, and I feel that at times, we fail to remember the real reason we are all here, i.e. to help each other, with advice and knowledge. If you do read this post member Woske, I would ask that you please reconsider, for the sake of the forum, and in particular the greater majority of folk on here, who appreciate and respect your wisdom in this field.

    Regards,

    Carl

Great post Carl it sums up this thread , because of the attitude of the minority we may have lost the membership of someone who has much experience and knowledge built up over many years in this particular specialised field which can greatly benefit those of us who are still learning and actually wish to learn and improve our knowledge , that is very disappointing indeed !!

Completely agree with both of the above, I would not have bought my Himmler document without Woske's advice.

Please don't do that,I for one respect your opinions and would heed your advise. It takes years and years to become an expert on something we are lucky to have your insight on this very difficult and heavily forged area of collection.

Hi, I have been asking about Hitlers signature on other threads and I was told to look here too. I have a Certificate for "Verdienstkreuz des Deutschen Adlerordens mit dem Stern Order vom deutschen adler mit dem stern", which was awarded to my great grandfather.
Just a short background. My great grandfather was one of the highest ranking generals of Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He served King Petar Karadjordjevic the first , King Aleksanad Karadjordjevic the first and King Petar Karadjordjevic the second. After the assassination of king Aleksandars Karadjordjevic in Marseille (France), duke Pavle Karadjordjevic took over the throne until the son of king Aleksandar, princ Petar Karadjordjevic the second came to age to be crowned king. My great grandfather visited Germany together with duke Pavle in 1939 and that was when he was awarded with the "Verdienstkreuz des Deutschen Adlerordens mit dem Stern Order vom deutschen adler mit dem stern". I am posting a picture of duke Pavle with Hitler (this is not a picture I own, I found it on the internet while I was searching for the information I have written above). The pictures of the Certificate and the order are taken by me, since I do have them in my possession. I have blackened the name of my great grandfather, I hope you don't mind.
Could this signature of Hitler be hand written by Hitler himself? I also noticed two drops of ink on the seal which are the same colour as Hitlers signature.
    Thank you for your help.

    Best wishes to all.
