These are incredible pictures. Just studying the looks on some of their faces,, fear, confidence, apprehension, pride, some arrogance,, just the whole range of expressions and emotions..
I wish I could find photos of my mother in law and her sister who were both in the BDM...
We have 100's of pictures of their grandfather in WW1 but not so many of their WW2 service or relatives..
Will have to keep looking..

Thanks Smitty. Yes it is a mixed bag as you see innocence and happiness as youth and in some cases there faces have angst and anger. Hard telling what would be going through their young minds as they grew up in Hitler's Germany. My Oma knew many Hitler Youth & Soldiers but was not a member of the party movement or the BDM. Much like we have Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts & Camps here even today but with no such agenda like these youth had above them. It was horrific, vile and menacing the scheme above them that I am sure some were clueless or unaware of as they grew up. Be well! Rossi
