Great tread , with amazing photo's ! A piece of history that needs telling . Love the photo of him in his uniform , reminded me of a photo I saw here somewhere ,of a Eastern Volunteer in the Australian Legion wearing a 57 pattern Anti-Partisan badge along with other awards . Keep this thread going .
Cheers Chris
Brilliant thread Lars with some remarkable photos showing different uniforms and awards in wear and a few of Officers of historical significance , love the shots of the Heer Officers wearing SS Camo another one to prove that regulations were not followed in the field !!

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

It was only my wife. It was because of the interview with the (youngest Wehrmacht) Battle of Berlin soldier. He said she had to do a interview with Hugo. I'm sorry to say i never met him. We have a few more we want to interview, including some Danes. It's important to record their history, because they will soon be gone.
Regards, Lars
I'd love to hear about the Danes Lars
