This is really a fascinating thread! Thanks.

The longer caption in post # 43 says:
"Lettland
in Madona beim
Pferdeeinkauf
Hermann Weber
welchen ich
als alten Kameraden
zu den Kosaken
holte -
Autor des Buches:
'KOSAKEN-SAGA'
angeblich durch
Herzschlag gestorben"
...meaning:
"Latvia
buying horses
at Madona
Hermann Weber,
whom I brought
to the Cossacks
as an old comrade -
author of the book:
'KOSAKEN-SAGA'
allegedly died
of a heart attack"
I wish i had these in my collection.
Thank you very much for sharing these photos! And thank you HPL2008 for assisting with the text so we understand even more.
I'm suprised no-one has commented on the photo in post #1 featuring Hitler. Do you think that the photo was taken from his train 'Amerika'?
Was it during a visit to the Ukraine perhaps? Or Poland maybe? And what ARE those two guys carrying that looks really heavy? I reckon it's the Ark of the Covenant. Perhaps.
