    The rubies...do they have black spots in them? The photo makes them look quite similar to the rubies with pupils that they used in the lion head sword grips for eyes. A very nice locket, in ant case!

    after further examination. its hard to tell if the dark spots are within. the surface is flat in the center of the rubies which makes it look dark. but definatly is darker in the center. do you have any photos of lion head sword would be interested in taking a look. Regards david

    There have been a limited few that have been posted on the forum here, but they are non-faceted rubies. If you do a quick search with the term "ruby eyes", they will come up, though, and you will be able to see the pupils in the eyes. A very unusual feature!
