Luftwaffe Maps with markings
Hi All,
I recently picked up a Luftwaffe Map Case and inside were these maps, one large and one medium size, the large one has markings on it and towns/areas circled, the second one does not have any marking on the map itself but does have a stamp and writing above, I found them very interesting and wanted to show you guys, maybe the map experts can tell me more about the markings and what they all mean, not sure what the stains are, either coffee or blood lol. Certainly one shows the deployment of FLAK Regiment 4 around the town of Hamm North East of Dortmund , showing the zone of coverage and the positions of the II Abt of the Regiment and the 6 Batterie , i really like these maps , a good find for your collection .

Good catch - congrats. Map case and gen-u-ine maps - hardly gets any better than that in the map case related department!
Now, if the pencils are period as well........

The handwritten markings date these to the 10th and 11th August 1939, repectively...

Is the red writing above the stamp a last name followed by uffz under the dates?
