I believed once they are delivered all of the finishing touches were conducted on post. late in the war they were scavenging parts to repair planes, and these 2 corpses could have been donors rather than fliers. Easier to swap parts than build new planes.
The very fact of two different aircraft bodies in the same carriage, suggests this is late war bottom of the barrel supplies to keep other aircraft in the air. Photo appears to been taken at some sort of marshalling yard but I wonder if it was near an airfield?
These are actually pretty cool photos. I may list more soon for I'm really getting interested in the photos I have.
