A female Luftwaffe auxiliary indeed, photographed no earlier than 1941.

She is a member of the Luftnachrichten-Helferinnenschaft [air signals corps of auxiliaries] employed in the Flugmeldedienst [air reporting service].

The uppermost sleeve badge is the trade badge for the Flugmeldedienst, the double chevron below it is the rank insignia for the rank of Oberhelferin.

(The dedication on the back means "As a friendly memory of your Bärbel".)
