Manchurian visa - German passport

Hi,

Thought of sharing this passport with a very interesting visa for Manchuria, occupied North East China, issued in Hamburg of 1940.
Going to Asia, Japan or China, one would normally require such a visa, but not always. This all stopped after June of 1941.

Amazed to see English on a 1940 German passport. I guess it was an international language even then.

Yes, sure was. The English on the Japanese passport is interesting though...

German stamps are not in english

Manchuria in the punch -
would have no one else can read on the world


But even in the SS Junker School to learn English

The characters in red, in the round-red-seal would be, in Chinese charcaters, "Manchurian Empire-Hamburg General Consulate".
For me, Chinese is easy, but German is another thing, sadly, I do not understand the German language.
