Article about: Hi what do you think about this, printed on thick almost cardboard type paper? Too good to be true? Rgds Jan

Hi Jan, look at the printing.

The easiest way is to look at modern printed items and see how the dots are formed and then look at something you know is old.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hey again, as I started to doubt my previous analysis I compared the "dots" on the poster with this item today and Yes it´s a match here too Love the Third Reich propaganda stuff!

80cm of snow?? Great poster, by the way. Thanks for showing it and am glad to hear that it's being properly framed and preserved! Super graphics!

This story had a sad ending, the picture is in the wrong size apparently maybe a bit too thick paper too. It was fun owning it "as long as it lasted" but I have no regrets as I learned a lot on the way and lost "not so much" money. To prevent it living a life of it´s own I´ve decided to burn it instead of selling it as "a possible fake".

Just because it is not the same size as other known posters does not necessarily mean that this one was Fake-it may have simply just been a unknown different size, is all. A shame, seeing as it has now been burned and destroyed forever...

Not burned (couldn´t manage to do that)
but put into safe storage with a short document about the problems in proving it´s originality.

Gave me a scare when you said you burnt it! There will always be that "what if" thought playing in my mind if i ever burnt anything!
