I agree with bigmacglenn post #17 that the man without a cap is Hess. That should be a start for chronology. Thanks for sharing.....Doug.

I don't recognize the place, but we can date the photographs to the 1936 - 1939 period.

(The SS men are wearing the second-model cap eagle introduced in 1936 and all of them - including the armed honor guard - are in black service dress.)
