I think this Policeman is a Hauptwachtmeister. Nothing interesting about that.

The dagger if you look close enough is a Chained SS as the center ramp and the ever so rare CH SS tear drop hanger is peeking out form the officers uniform.

The SS was in control of the Police and the officer may have been an old timer who earned his Chained dagger early and carried it over to this active duty branch of the police.

I correct myself...there is no Tear drop hanger beneath the pocket ..but a sewn in " D " ring that will support the chain suspension to the uniform.
