I've seen these crop up recently on German forums also, is this ancestry.co.uk ?

Are there special steps to finding them or is it straightforward ?

It is available from all the Ancestry sites, so UK, US, Germany etc. But as they have primarily been uploaded to the German branch of Ancestry if you wish to access them from the UK site you have to pay the 'Worldwide' subscription price (although they have a 14 day free trial). Might be cheaper if you register via the German site.
They are easy to find. I had never used Ancestry until yesterday and I was able to find them in minutes.

Thanks for the info. I know some WW1 collectors who use ancestry a bit, I might try borrow theirs for a try, or get a whole bunch of names together so I can hit the ground running if I do sign up. Thanks again !

Can anyone ID the collar tab? Looked interesting as doesn’t look like a typical SS rune tab.

Unfortunately Hans Kleuser is not on the casualty cards in Ancestry.

Unfortunately Hans Kleuser is not on the casualty cards in Ancestry.

Not a problem BlackCat, I appreciate you looking for me, he died in 1946 so wasn’t getting my hopes up. Really difficult to see the Collar Tab, it doesn’t look like a typical SS rune tab, but there’s countless it could be.
