Daraufhin wurde die "Kampfgruppe Zehender" um das SS-Reiter-Regiment 2 gebildet. Diese wurde in den Raum Komaritschi, südwestlich von Dmitrowsk verlegt. Hier kam es Mitte März 1943 zu schweren Kämpfen. Nach Abebben der Kämpfe wurde die Kampfgruppe Anfang April 1943 wieder nach Lapitschi verlegt.
