This came in the mail today and trying to research the unit and person the picture has been removed and there is a name under where it should be can anyone make out the name it was taken in a pow camp also if any one can help with the name I would really Appreciate it.

Looks like Johann Bärtel or Bürtel. Units will be on Pages 4 & 17. Believe the 3./N 18 entry relates to 3 Kompanie of Nachrichten Abteilung 18 so he was involved in signals.

Nachrichten-Abteilung 18 belonged to 18 Infanterie-Division (ID (mot.)/Pz.Grenadier Division)...

Without seeing the entry or a stamp I believe the proper designation would be Nachrichten Fern-Aufklärung Kompanie 619 which was a signals intelligence unit, used to intercept the communications of the enemy at the front.
