Schmalfilm 16 mm film

I have this 3 Schmalfilms. Nr 3 1938, 5 1938 and 4 1939. There are movie clips from famous Battleship Bismarck, Scharnhorst and more. Can anyone share som info about this items since I cant find abything online..

Nice finds, produced for home cinema/small groups. There are lots about, another method of spreading Dr Goebbels message to the masses.

From what I can work out they are from a huge series of short films produced under the guidance of Joseph Goebbels between 1933 and 1945 for propaganda purposes. They were widely distributed and today can be found for sale from about 10 euros depending on rarity, subject etc.

From what I can find 10 euros is fare from what they go for in the marked. Many where produced but few are out there for sale. Guess most of them where lost after the war.

If you only paid 10 Euro then you did OK, nice extra item in a TR display. It would probably cost more to get the film digitised!
