Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings

Hello Luke,
here's a picture of me taken at the exact same barracks at Camp Beverlo where I did military training.
Camp Beverlo is still a big excisting trainingarea where Belgian troops are located.
The barracks are mostly gone but some are still there. Now there's a very nice museum from Belgian's army's history.
During the war is was a Prisoncamp for resistancepeople and after the war it became a POW-camp for German soldiers.
Kris.
Signed photo of Hinrich Ahrens...he passed away in 2005...
cheers, Glenn

Look at my post on the above link and see post #54.
I have many photos of Otto Kumm but this is my favourite taken when the DF Regt had just come out of the months of winter fighting at Rzhev in early 1942 , they were to parade for Model who asked Kumm where his Regiment was , Kumm stated they were on parade outside , when Model went outside 35 men were standing in the snow , the remnant of 3000 that started Barbarossa !
Incidently one of the 35 was later RKT in Budapest and CCC in Gold winner Friedrich Buck !!
