By the way if the question was for his book, you will not find it in the internet. It run out of stock. I have also checked some time ago.

Looking for the photo albums of Leutnant Emil Freitag, 3. / G.R. 377
These photo's are just awesome. Where do you find addresses for some of the people who are still alive?
I use the Das Telefonbuch Deutschland: Telefonauskunft mit Telefonnummern, Adressen und mehr
If a vet is registered it means that he doesn't mind being contacted and it's ok to try.
Due to age some have moved with other family members or to a nursing home so it's not 100% guaranteed they will get your letter. It's not guaranteed that they will reply either.

Thanks.
like what don_kihotis said(use a telephone directory site like -Das Telefonbuch Deutschland-), or try to communicate with collectors.
All the best,

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

He is a really nice guy and was very helpful during my correspondance with him regarding his combat on the Ostfront !!
