Two of my idols since I was a teen has been Gerhard Krems and Ronald Ray. Two of the nicest men I have ever written.
A few months ago I was able to get in contact with Robert through the CMOHS and was able to share some family stories about Vietnam.
He was nice enough to send back one of his studio MOH photos and his service token.
A very Nice reply, Morris! I have never seen these pictures of Herr Bauer before. He is a great Guy to correspond with, and he had a truly impressing military carreer!
The Two war time photos reside within his very good book. The latter is taken from his appearance in "Greatest Tank battles : Ludwig Bauer" where he documents his life.

Thanks for the update Morris.
May he rest in peace.
Herr Eick was the first veteran i had ever written too. Unfortunately i got no reply but since i knew he was in advanced age it wasn't a surprise.
Looking for the photo albums of Leutnant Emil Freitag, 3. / G.R. 377
Same as Chris, Thanks for the update.
It's sad news such as other veterans obituary.
May he rest in peace.
I got a signed photos from Mr. Hershel W. Williams. who received Medal of Honor for his actions in the Battle of Iwo Jima during WW2.
Actually he didn't signed on these photos. He signed on other paper and scan with his photo. but as always we do, I appreciate him for his reply. and as you can see he wrote my name ("To. Dabin") when he sign on paper. and I appreciate him again about it.
