Benyamin Samuilovich Super, born in 1870 year in Karsava, Latvian SSR ( Now Latvia). Jew. Has no permanent job. Not a member in the army reserve.
The passport issued by Ludz county militia department at June. 19, 1941 year.
I'am affraid his fate was so bad over a month when the operation Barbarossa became up to Latvia

Does it say if he was a refugee or stateless? this was issued 3 days before Barbarossa. I added another scan, only markings in the passport.

There is only date of his new registration in Kujbyshev District of USSR (now Samara): 21st of October, 1941.
He was not refugee or stateless person. He only evacuated from one region of the country (Latvian SSR) to the other one. The country was USSR.

Did these type of Soviet passports ever state the job or profession of the holder?

Point 5 (upper on the 2nd page) usually noted current so named "social position" of the holder. Typical variants could be: worker, peasant, office worker, dependant, etc. In generally it was not his concrete job position or profession.

"without permanent job". Please note he was 71 y.o. in 1941. For example if he lived in Russiaa since 1917 he most probably got pension and was "pensioner". But until 1940 he lived in Latvia and probably had no pension at all. Or may be he was before self-employed craftsman. But they are only my assuptions.
