It seems strange to me that pictures of dead Nazis on a War Relics Forum would elicit shock or require a warning.
War creates a plethora of dead bodies. The people in the photos are in good shape. No major parts or pieces shot or blown off or burned beyond recognition. You can't smell them.
Maybe being an old veteran insulates me from these feelings.
Some might say I am cold blooded but if you have been in the middle of a war pictures of dead bodies just don't seem to be shocking at all.. The business of war is killing your enemy or better yet them killing themselves.
The smell of ripe bodies is what always bothered me.
70 years later we are collecting the refuse of war and proud of what we have and seeking more . There is an absolute correlation between German and Japanese war relics and dead bodies. Many of the items in collections were removed from dead soldiers and are considered the spoils of war. War Trophies, souvenirs.
Just some thoughts.

I agree entirely and would add that only those who have real life experience of such matters qualify to judge. There is no perverse voyeurism or titilation behind this thread.
