Third reich "mad scientist's" photo

Article about: Wouldn't the skull patch merely indicate lab technicians working with poisons? Lab coats of today might include biohazard symbols.

I love this pic of men working in a chemistry lab. Dated 1938 on the reverse. Notice the totenkopf on their jackets.

The skulls on the lab coats seem a bit strange. I assume it's supposed to indicate some sort of SS connection. If so, why don't they use the runes?

The photo does not prove Zyklon B....and lab coats do not soley prove this. Leave Zyklon B out of this thread...before more jump in at the opportunity to add their 2 cents...and a complete thread closure.

Focus more on the fact..that these men are chemists..( or a propaganda photo )..and not necessarily points to biological.

The photo dont have to be from third reich. ( i mean could be post45 made) But if it is genuine, then i find it interesting.

Hold on guys! No claims of Zyklon B are being made by me. I used the term "mad scientists" in humor and have no idea why they have a totenkopf on their coats. Here is the reverse of the photo and it says they are working in a laboratory and is dated 1938:

And common sense would suggest that if these me were working on bio or toxic chem material they would be using masks/respirators and gloves...or of course I could be wrong and these two men kicked the bucket right after the pic was taken

Thank you Yarmouth for clarifying that..as I know it was not you that made the comment..which " IM SURE " was purely accidental in choice of words. Carry on Regards Larry

Perhaps the person who took the picture?

Would the lab coats qualify as a uniform? Hmmmmmmmm...
