Morning Adrian was having a discussion with my friend Russ that owns middleeastmilitaria.com yesterday and he states...
...Black berets are for general use in the Iraqi army and were worn by most branches.
...The red one is for Military Police.
...All of the badges are pre 1991 and the one that is directly embroidered to the beret is pretty rare ( I will question him more on this particular beret )
...He would like a close up of the label on the tan beret if possible ?

Just had another discussion with Russ Adrian in regards to the example with the embroidered badge " I had only seen Iraqi berets with metal badges until now, so an embroidered one is completely new to me. Considering that, it’s probably a private purchase beret by an Iraqi officer since such a thing was not common. "

Cheers Adrian the tan beret is a post Saddam era example according to Russ the tags were added by venders before they were sold to give them the appearance of a Saddam era beret as they were more desirable to soldiers than the post Gulf War examples..
Kind Regards Mark
