International Patrol Post War Vienna Arm Badge

Recent estate sale pick up. Very heavy and well made arm badge worn by members of the IP during its 10 year existance in post war Vienna. It measures approx. 3.125" tall by 2.75" wide. Appears to be missing whatever was used on the reverse to attach it to an arm band. Enjoy, Al
Very nice, I would love to get hold of one of these.
I have only even seen them in museums like The Imperial War Museum.
They were worn on the left arm by MPs of the IP when on duty and I think they were attached by a strap or elastic around the arm.
There can't be many around and I believe that the quality of this one suggests it is an earlier rather than later piece.
