South Korea camouflague uniforms 1990-2010
Anyone collect South Korean (ROK) uniforms? I don't, but I do have a shirt and jacket probably once seen on the ceasefire border with North Korea.
Evidently in the 1980's the ROK began producing their own uniforms based on a variation of the US M1948 ERDL and M81 Woodland.
Then in 1990 the South Korean Armed Forces adopted a universal camouflage uniform based on these patterns, but with significant differences in colour, shapes, and this pattern remained in service to 2010.
The shirt is interesting in that it's a two pocket type, and not bellow pockets, and with a gas flap (perhaps useful on a border with North Korea!), the convex buttons are even 3 colour plastic, green, brown, black. I've never seen that before. No idea what the unit badges are, printing on fabric indicated it was made in 2007.
The jacket is a heavy material winter type with interior buttons to attach a padded liner, and large YKK zipper ideal for heavy gloved hands. The colours in this camouflague are darker and I guess more winter hues than the shirt which suggests tropical vegetation.
I've no idea what unit used the jacket, feel free to comment if you have information on it.

...well that went well for you Mr Anderson.... :-) ..that's what it's like for Composite Helmet collectors every day here :-)
Seriously I have a similar dilemma....is it worth posting it here (it's Korean camo) or is there a hot-bed of Korean Camo posts somewhere else that Mr A and I are missing please?
Korea? Camo?....anyone?
