Nice mess kit... It is amazing some of the trench art things that can be found and equally amazing what a soldier can do to pass the long hours. Dimas may be familiar with the story of a German bunker uncovered several years ago by the diggers in the Demyansk area I think?? This particular shelter had the floor completly covered in a mosaic of spent shell casings. They were pushed one by one into the soil floor "bullet end" down so that the pimer ends were still exposed.
