From your picture the blade appears to be made from the same metal as the handle which i presume is a rifle bolt ( cocking lever ). If pow camp or similar made I would suggest that it is extremely likely that the blade was made from metal originating from the same source as the rifle bolt.
I also thought the blade was from a Swedish Mauser bayonet when I first saw it. Excellent find!
It actually looks almost identical to that M1896 Bayo!

That is a really neat dagger, I've never seen anything like it before.
Took some more pictures of the blade/handle today. As you can see its almost as it was made out of the same steel (without welding) also notice the symmetrical notches of the blade. Mystery item indeed
