German lighter - what do i have here?

The lighters are modern items, never were used during wartime. Nothing for real collectors, more for tourists, "patriotic Germans" or simply neo-Nazis.

This one might be a load of rubbish but there is lighters out there, trench art... I've got two British ones.

Hi just added some trench art lighters photos, there is a zippo, with a German coin & British coin on, most are park shermans.

I would like to put a question ? out there, all the ronsons are USA made, with British badges on I have a few more, who added the badges on, were the lighters send to the uk ?, and then I am thinking the badges were added here, it gives someone work during the war, and ronson make money .

I would think most were done by the individual solider , personalized as he saw fit .

Some of the British example you show carry Sweetheart pins soldered on.

There probably was some canteen lighters with badges , but I'd think is was the minority .
