i have an old clock left to me from the war, anyone know about it?

I was left a clock which i was told was a u boat clock from the second world war, left to me by my grandad. I cannot find the clocks seriel number online and was hoping someone here might know more about it. I'm interested in the history of it and where it actually came from.

2167 on the back and 67 printed on key opening.

I've looked all over the internet seen similar but not managed to find the same one to get a make.

It is impossible to tell, was it from the U-boat or not. It is just a old naval clock.

It does indeed look like a U boat bulkhead clock, but it looks like the centre of the clock face is missing on yours.

I have never seen a wartime German Kriegsmarine clock with this style of face before?

My biggest concern is the usual face might have been removed? I am only used to seeing the type of face shown in the one illustrated in post 3. I wonder if the face has been removed in order to de-Nazifiy it? You can see machine marks on the face on yours where it is not covered by the dial. But I stress I am not a specialist in clocks. Just my 2p worth.

Yep unfortunately i reckon it would, with the Kriegsmarine eagle and swastika missing it's been "denazified". Take for example an average Wehrmacht belt buckle it might be worth lets say £80, if it's been denazified you be lucky to get £15. Your clock is still an interesting item though.
