It looks very clean to me. No real age to it. I would kind of expect to see the underside a bit dirty or some fingermarks to the lid?

My first impressions were the same as Ades , but a hands on approch may be needed on that one , cheers Raymond

It is hard to tell but in my opinion it is an original item in almost unused condition. Anyway it is handmade item and also pretty well made. Making such items will take hours and if You plan to fake something maybe You will just take a shorter name than Sepp Ceisreiter Slonin:-) For example engraving "SS-div. Das Reich" is much shorter to engrave and You can sell it for much higher price...

to me it has the look of a real one......an awful lot of work went into making that object and I think the maker did not use it but made it as an art object.
