WWII german lighter

Article about: out of my collection her to show to the forum my lighter gold plated and mother of pearl, realy nice one, got the lighter in bad condition and not working but now is all fine

    My guess is, that this is part of a political leader collar insignia
    that has been added onto the lighter.

    I wouldn't say 'WWII', but I would say 'Not WWII'.

    thanks, the insignia was already on it as i got it, was just dirty and not working (some parts missing) and it was just a tenner, now its an eyecatcher in my collection, i try to find the befor pictures, i have them somewere

    A tenner!! I think you got a little bargain there mate as its a very attractive piece indeed and unusual. Its certainly worth a lot more than a tenner and well done for finding it and its nice that you are pleased with it. Id certainly hang onto it and try and find out more such as its date etc. Have a google search on either antique or art deco style cigarette lighters and see if it comes up anywhere as it may be a rare model.
