here we go,these are the right picture..
Hi Pammy, the bottom two items in the picture are the rivet and washer from a German helmet and these hold the liner in place.
The coin is very curious. No idea why it was done.
Cheers, Ade.
Silver coins were sometimes used to make jewelery. In this case the coin was from a bracelet.
Several of them would have been attached together by small, flat, silver links.
They can be found simply 'holed' and used for earrings or on necklaces.
I've also seen them made into brooches, with three or four of them
soldered together with a pin-back attachment.
A very nice helmet rivet, as Adrian says...............
The small leather 'loop' is a 'keeper' for a sa dagger hanger,
where the threads have been broken or pulled apart.
Strange but finds, Pam !
Regards, Steve.
