    Default 5Liter Trinkwasser

    Newly acquired 5Liter Trinkwasser.

    Here is my first question.

It has "Made in Germany" on the Ritter Alum marking on the bottom, i thought when the war started they stopped stamping items "Made in Germany" for importing?

I am curious why this has it never noticed before on others.

And is there a way to judge what time frame these items were constructed at factory?

    Cheers!

    Totally original Luftwaffe can.

The company were just using an existing die stamp. Eventually they would replace it with the three letter code.

    Cheers, Ade.

Most of these tend to be Luftwaffe issue.

Ah okay, is there a specific way to tell LW from the rest of Wehrmacht issued Trinkwasser's?

    ?

    Thumbs up

Simple way to tell is that if a Heer or W-SS unit had these spun alum water cans they were stolen from a Luftwaffe unit! Or possibly picked up on the battle field.
    Here is my 5 u. 10L water cans. Some day - MABY - I'll find a 15 u. 20L cans.
Also included is the 18L back pack can.
