Also known as Ex-patrone or drill cartridge. My latest acquisition, six of them, all in pretty similar condition. According to Hans-Dieter Handrich and his Sturmgewehr in March 1942 two versions were ordered for initial trials, "distinguished" by the length of internal metal shaft. 100 pieces with 20 mm ones and another 100 with 35 mm. Despite some cracks on mines, it's impossible to figure the shaft's length.
