This is an original can but it has been repainted and " tarted up ".

Every Yugo can I have seen has the end panels folded over and spot-welded?

They made and reused them so you can either get yugo or german made one.

Hi,look at the end of my box,you will see it is one piece,not spot-welded,I have never seen a Yugo box like that,I welcome any further info on these boxes.....Pete.

What I mean is that Yugoslavia made their own copy and used captured pieces as well. Your box can still be from Yugoslavia and be German made.
Why would anybody paint that box unless it had the typical Yugo green paint. This is my opinion only.

Irrespective of whose it once was - it aint much chop now ........... pity.

Here are the 2 cans I now have,the left one is steel,the right is aluminum,the aluminum one is dated 1939,there is too much paint on the steel one to read the markings.....Pete.

I don't know definetly repainted, and stenciled all the German ones I had were dated and Waffenampted some early ones are maker marked such as BSE etc. I got one out of Norway surplus that is maker coded dated, and waffen ampted but I admit construction is similar. timothy
