Another piece of German artillery wickerwork......
Coming hot on the heels of my two other 'baskets', I now seem to have acquired another one, this time for the s.F.H.18 15cm shell....
Rough condition, but it was very cheaply acquired.
My house is starting to resemble the interior of a Garden Centre......
Turn it upside down, put a bulb and socket in it and voila....Sexy floor lamp.

We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.

Umbrella stand - the uses are endless......every emplacement should have one !

A salami holder, been looking for one for ages.
I've even found a pic of the floor lamp/umbrella stand/salami holder in use...
I thought only old people went in for wicker work to help keep them active.

Just found these 2 pictures in my collection showing the wicker shell holder in use, that is a big shell, how tall is the holder.
The holder is 75mm high and 19mm wide.
There's no way I could identify it without referring to that absolutely brilliant French Wehrmachts-Kisten website (which should be granted support money from the EU, it's that useful.....
Are you sure it is only 75mm x 19mm and not 75cm x 19cm. If so it would make it a very, very, very light field artillery gun.
