    I saw a similar pair on eBay described as mg13 pouches.
    I don't know if this is correct...

    Yes, for MG 13, do you have markings on the back, some were used by othey countries, so they don't have German markings.

    For some reason this is an MG I'm not familiar with at all (?). I see it was a bona fide Wehrmacht weapon for a short while?

    MG 13 was in service during the Third Reich era. You can get a nutshell description on Wikepedia. NH

    I wonder if these mags/pouches are much sought after by someone somewhere. I probably have no great interest, but they are somewhat unique for a CL find. Might pick them up for trading material, still trying to find out if they are marker marked and dated.

    Any chance they would be post war or foreign contract made?

    Seems like if the Wehrmacht discontinued the weapon in 1934 as Wiki suggests, that there would have been much made for it a decade or more later?
