Re: Anyone give me an idea what it is?
Hello,
I can't say where it's from, but i can say that it's not german.
IMO you could be right to think it might be belgian because of the french word ANTIGAZ stamped at the bottom. The canister is not french either, so...and the ink stamp on the lid looks like Md or Ml 35 for Modèle 35 (Model 35).
Thanks

Re: Anyone give me an idea what it is?
Looks like a belgian one to me, but I'm not an expert.
If it's belgian, I hope you didn't pay to much.(canister and gasmask go about 12Euro)
There is an old TA(fort) near the city of Mechelen, that has several rooms still filled with them.

Re: Anyone give me an idea what it is?
Could it be Czech or Polish? I think it has too many horizontal stripes to be Belgian.
Just a guess I know nothing about gas masks

Re: Anyone give me an idea what it is?
No man army is correct, the belgian cannister has not that many stripes on it.(didn't see that at first)
The belgian WW2 model is the L702 and is painted in a light-grey color.
