    Hello! This camo box is coming from Rouen, Upper Normandy. No name inside, on the box, see the little strap, coming from a Y part.

    Funny, the longest strap is not the normal but is a part of a U.S. M30 ammunition belt.

    this canister has very strange straps, but definately original period made. The lower strap is from pre war gasmask canister ( very very early - most probably from Reichswehr era canister - those with high top ) and not from Y-straps. Y-straps never had brass hook.
    The upper straps seems to be field made - it's much wider than standart factory long strap. Any way very nice and original set.

    The upper strap is a cal 30 web ammunition belt

    Nice original can Lebus good one! I like it straps on them sometimes are made from other things. timothy
