Hi
The closing strap, and rivets don't look germ issue to me...... and normally the WaA stamp is positioned on the front, but visible only when the pouch is opened if you know what I mean (together with the maker mark)
Is there an outline round the WaA stamp ?? (I have some doubts here)
Tom
I agree that it doesn't have the "german" characteristics but I wonder what is it ?
is it possible it is reworked captured pouch reissued to second line or volunteer troops ?
If Tom cant ID it we are in trouble Meyle!!
Steve

Don't overestimate the powers of the.......
No really... there are so many things I don't know.....
Tom
Yes, I am worried if Tom doesn't know then all is lost...
I have ruled out communications pouch. It is a bit similar to the Nachrichtentasche but missing key components. I am leaning towards a piece of captured equipment re-purposed after getting passed by inspectors. NH
I am leaning that way as well - possibly small binocular case or some sort of optical equipment.
I think it is either Estonian or Latvian, since they seem to show up in that area for sale and company in East Prussia would be a logical choice being the closest to inspect them.
Reminds me of British equipment, particularly with the green corrosion on the copper rivets, perhaps some sort of tool pouch?
