    I often see these for sale advertised as being "Artillery Rucksacks"...Nice condition, well done!

    Hello,
    This is what they are...adopted for non mounted personnel of the artillery in 1940.
    This one is late war and made with a canvas often used to make MP pouches in 1942/43...

    Very nice! I actually just picked up a mint one with the german soldiers name on the inside. They are very cool items.
