Complete M30 gasmask set

I received this complete and matching M30 gasmask set today, perfect for in my display cabinet.

Hi Nick,

I have a strange feeling that the numbers on the mask was added afterwards. Notice they were written on top of the already scratched surface.

However, if it was period done, that would be an interesting example.

Yes i also noticed that, but i still think its period done and original because the paint thickness and writing seems to match.. the soldier also could have added it later when the mask was allready scratched by use and drill after drill.

Does the bottom of the can has the "D" on?

Also, can you tell the date on both can and mask?

Very nice, the scratched number is no problem.
I had 2 with the same thing.
Also looks like it has a late war dark overpaint on the can, i have one also almost the same colour.

@Taka.. the can has no D marking on the bottom and i can't see the date on the can, the gasmask is 1940 dated.
@DTVPKING.. nice pics i also think the marking is no problem, i looked at my other gasmask that i bought last year and guess what?? it has the same scratched marking ( see added pic )
