That's a nice "family"....I also do own one, the 5 liter with tan paint...
The only time i've seen the 18 liter can on a period photo, it was strapped at the rear of a german vehicle. If i remember well, it was on a photo published in the late "Panzer Voran" magazine showing troops in Italy...

Never seen 18 liter before. Nice collection! I do not belive these cans were produced and used only in Afrika (DAK). Actually there are still pretty many of these 5 and 10 liter cans for sell in Germany and they are not too rare.
Thanks for posting closeups of the carrying straps. I've got an 18 liter as well, but no carrying stripes. Plus the "Trinkwasser 18 l" markings have been scrubbed away by the previous owner.
